I have a couple of 1908-vintage photos of my great-grandfather in his 1907 Cadillac.  There is no 'Cadillac' script logo on the radiator.  Is it missing or was there a model that did not include that trim piece.  I'm guessing it was missing, but it was virtually new, appears undamaged, and the photos were taken to show off the car at their home.  Any thoughts?

Interesting but I was just dealing with a 1906 Same issue and amazingly I had one I had bought years ago. I put it on.

Seems strange they had designation at each wheel both thresholds and the rear, but NOT at the front??? 2F0F6567-56DD-4E52-9F71-BEE2CC57A8CA.jpeg

Phil take a look at the pictures again....the logo may be embossed on the front of the  upper radiator shell.

I always wondered if the radiator scripts on brass era cars were really authentic or if they were added later by early restorers. The AACA forum website has lots of vintage photos of brass era cars. It appears that some of the cars had them when they were new and many did not. Is it possible that they did not get them at the factory but that some dealers added them as a form of advertising?

I doubt that there is anyone alive today that really knows.
