I was looking at some 59 Eldo Biarritz for sale ads and something caught my attention or inconsistencies caught my attention.

A given is that the color of a hard boot was also the body color - special orders aside.

So a couple of questions:

1. Is the cuff material made to be the same color as the boot OR is it made to be the same color as the upholstery. (same = close to)

2. Are the 3 snap heads visible OR are they covered in like a pocket of the cuff.

So that got me thinking about the Series 62 convertibles and their soft boot.
A given is that the color of all parts of the soft boot are the same, and not specific to the body color - special orders aside.

3. Are all the snap heads visible OR are they covered in like a pocket, not just the cuff but all around the edges (cuffs, quarters, and trunk).

I welcome your thoughts and how you know which design is original and correct - aftermarket tops were surely used now that it is 60+ years later than new.
let the homework begin.

Have fun,
Steve B.

Ah!
Come on guys - how can it be.

There seem to be plenty of knowledgeable folks out there that offer up suggestions pretty regularly.

Anybody wants to offer up how their car is configured.

Have fun,
