We all have had the headlight that likes to light up the road right in front of the car. It's that plastic headlight adjuster that broke on that last bump in the road.

I got tired of replacing them. After a month, they dry out and break. Since everything in this world is now a "hack", here is mine, so you never have to fix it again. Look at the link...

Take the headlight buckets apart, removing the bezel, the retaining ring and remove the headlight plug. Unscrew all the adjusting screws and remove completely. Remove the brittle plastic adjustment retainers.

Next, take the nylon license plate screw retainers and looking at the attached pictures, make a notch on just one side of the clip. (This is for the 1976 headlight buckets) Not sure if other years may be the same. Press the clip into the hole and using the long adjusting screws, screw them into the clips and reassemble the headlight buckets.

The adjusting screws fit tight enough to expand the nylon, so they will never come out. For 14 cents each, it beats $3.00-$5.00 each for the adjusting screws.

In addition to the above, if you have the fiber optic lamp monitors, a small section of 5/16" vacuum line works perfectly to direct the light beam from the headlight into the fiber optic cable.
