On my 1947 coupe, I think it would be almost folly to do AC.
These 40s Caddies have a lot of heat coming through the firewall and the flathead V8
runs hot no matter what you do.
You would need to convert the car to 12V and rig up a condenser that did not interfere with the radiator.
Mine is 12V with GM power steering.
