I have a dilemma my right side map light has gone out and my shop manual doesn't give the greatest info on how to change this bulb, I've layed down and put a flashlight underneath the dash I've found the socket but have no idea how to get to the bulb any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Joshua

Turn it counter clockwise about 12 degrees until I stops, then pull it out.

If I understand the question, that bulb socket is snapped into the hole and held with "springy" steel tabs.  Some side pressure on the socket should pop it loose exposing the bulb.  Hardest part may be snapping that socket back into the hole -- you'll understand how it all works when you get the socket out of the hole.
There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Mental Illness".  Dave Barry.   I walk that line.

Mr. Newcombe is correct.  If you want to see a picture of what he is referring to, go to Ebay and type into the search window: LS6427.  If you click on the picture that comes up, there will be a couple of different views of the lamp socket on the left side of the screen.
