Can I replace just the wiper blades (rubber part) or do I have to purchase the whole blade (rubber and chrome)? Where can I purchase them from?

Not sure of your own car, but I have found that in a lot of cases, I have purchased replacement blades and removing the actual swiping flexible part and replacing that alone into my old original blade framework.

BUT, before I purchase a replacement, I try to inspect the shape of the new sweeper to see if it will actually fit.   Some don't.

If you can find the correct Trico filaments you can just replace the rubber.

Nathan,

Bruce said it right. In most cases, you can swap out the rubber blade with ease.

Don't waste money for a pair of new Trico wipers. If your car already has them but the rubber has become brittle, you can easily go to the auto store and buy two of the cheapest wiper blades and replace the rubber.

Definitely check if the rubber shape with fit properly. I have done this for years with my classic cars that I drive in the rain. Simply take the old wiper off, slide the rubber strip out (it has a metal clip to keep it in place), pull the new wiper strip off the new wiper, place the old and new ones next to one another, use a razor to cut the new one to size, and slide it in. It take no more than 5 minutes and saves you from wasting money.
