I have found a divider window for my 1941 60 Special that I am building but it does not have a motor or the gear that attaches to the motor, any ideas on a work around to make it work.

Wow! Was that the first year for a Cadillac electric Division window? While it has been a few years since I have worked on my '50s Limo Division window, I seem to recall that the motor was not all that different from an electric window motor from the same era Cadillac. Think in your case hydraulic windows came after, so scavenging period parts may be more complicated, aside from the rarity aspect of things. But by sourcing a period electric/hydraulic window motor you may find some common ground in which to work with/around. It would also be handy to know someone with some machining expertise who could cut a gear or make another part to get things working. Probably of not much help, but a shot in the dark for you.

I have some Division window/bulkhead parts but they are much later and do not think they will help. For example, I have a complete Division Window scissor action unit but was designed for a 1954 - 1956 Imperial Series 75 Cadillac Limousine, which used a "wrap around" Division Window. While not as prounounced as the "wrap around windshields" in appearance, there is a curve to them. They are not straight pieces of glass. I believe your era of partition windows were made of straight cut class. You got your work cut out for you. Best of luck. Clay/Lexi

My '41 67 Series has a divider window. It is a strange set up to say the least. The electric motor is the same as a reversible heater motor. I have the factory information on the system and will try and post it. Hopefully you can read the print.    Harry

I am working on this right now for a 40-60S.  Email me directly at brad@ipsengarage.com.  We can compare notes on what I am doing to make this work.

Larry, I was messaging Brad Ipsen about the divider window parts he is looking for and mentioned I have the wooden trim piece that goes from side to side
(roughly 5' x 3") for a '41 60s. He doesn't need one and thought you may. Let me know if you have a need.   Harry Scott (4195) 703-791-3278 or hscott1937@aol.com    Harry
PS I tried a PM but it wouldn't work.

The divider that was used in 1941-42, was electric. The Divider for 1940 back is mechanical. The parts book doesn't show anything that interchanges of the mechanisms.
