1970s 1970 DeVille 472 A/C Compressor delete question

I am working on my 70 Deville Vert 472. Has anyone had any luck bypassing the A/C compressor by running the two power steering/ ac belts directly from the flywheel to the power steering pump ?? if so, what size belt did ya use.  Thanks,  Bill

That is how the factory did it for non ac cars and the manuals lists the belt size. 

Also note that at least one of the rear compressor bracket mounting holes going into an intake runner so it needs a bolt installed to plug the hole.

The manual lists one 48" belt is needed for non-AC cars.
