Just shut the hood after pulling the front fog light bulbs out (an ergonomic challenge on the passenger side...).  Both were nonfunctional, burned out.  I could have checked them first, but based on my recent battles with anything electrical or electronic, I rashly assumed the worst.  :(  So disregard this post for now.

The front fog lights on my '93 Allante' don't seem to function. Although the 1992-published big service manual for the Northstar Allante' shows two (front and rear) specific on/off buttons for the US/Canada Allante', mine does not have that style of switch panel.  It has one fog light pushbutton, which got no response regardless of the several "if/then" operational situations described for the user. The owner's manual seems to indicate that the fog lights come on or go off when certain situations occur. The parking lamps and side markers all work, as do the headlights, taillights (AKA "rear fog lights?) all work, but no response from the front fog lights.

I see there are a separate breaker and relay for the fog lights in the service book, but the discrepancies make me lack confidence in how things relate to my car....  But of course I'll remove and test the front fog light bulbs.

Any experience-based comments? Thanks in advance.

Having never even looked into an Allante', is there a separate switch for the fog lights? Maybe pull the headlight switch out one click to turn them on?

Thanks - I was in the process of editing my post when you replied. The headlight switch is a simple push button.  Nothing like my Hudson....

The main ecm, behind the radio/climate control, etc. controls many  of the lighting functions... I purchased a used one and several light controls, such as the dimming of the control panel, came back to life. Needless to say, all of these electronic circuit boards are more than a 1/4 of a century old.
