I recently purchased a NOS front shock #1946-G on EBay.

The seller included these mounting pads, but I don't see where the master parts list calls for them on the 1941 Cadillac.

Does anyone know if they are required on the'41?

Thank you

It was nice of your vendor to include some extra  parts, you don't need ! The picture is not 100% clear, but
they look to be for air plane shock mounting. The only rubber parts a lever shock uses are  the dust shields (group 1.0125 in diagram) on the pins that connect the shocks to the king pin supports. (also shaft seals and some other junk internally)

Thanks Warren. I can't imagine these are required. Just wanted to make sure.
