Does anyone sell this black material and the buttons, as Im getting my interior redone. The white will be done in vynal, as my guy says wears better. I welcome any thoughts. Its costing me about $2500 your money for just the seats. But I need to find this black material.

Unfortunately SMS is your only option for the fabric. And they are terrible.

They will send you a sample quickly. The actual order will be between a month to 2 years.

Does SMS actually make the fabric/leather to order? I have heard so many horror stories and praises for and about them. Same with Jenkins. If you have the fabric in bolts in a warehouse, why does it take an inordinate amount of time to get it? They want you to pay for it right away. How about shipping out to the customer in a timely fashion. I can drive from Washington state to Florida in under a week. UPS and FedEx do a relay and can do it in 3-4 days.

They will have the material made if they do not have it. I ordered a lot from them so have experienced the 30 days to 2 years personally.

The worst was a 5 yard order of vinyl. They told me they would need to make it. I called every 3 mo ths. Every time they said it is going out on Friday. Then another 3 months, then another. After 2 years they sent me 3 yards of old stock in two cut pieces. I called and they said it was all they had. If I wanted more I would need to wait 2 years to have it made. What had I already waited 2 years for?

I ordered "in stock" interior materials for my car. Over two years later I received them. The last year they finally admitted they didn't have it made.
Then I ordered a headliner which took only three weeks. The quality is amazing though, and I actually got more than what was ordered. You can try ordering, and who knows, they may actually have it in stock.

The only reason businesses like that are in business, is because they have it and you want it.

Like fast food places with me. If they were gone tomorrow, I wouldn't miss them.

It's been awhile since I've looked for this stuff, but my understanding is that Jenkins, like some others (Kellen?) only carries leather. As to fabric, there is only the one source.
