Hello all, I earlier this year purchased a 1969 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 special (Not a brougham). The two previous owners really did a number on the car. One cut out the dash with a reciprocating saw to put a Walmart radio in. The other cut the bottoms of three fenders off to "fix" rust, replacing with poor sheet metal work and fiberglass. All will be addressed in the spring time. However, something I am having trouble with is finding window gaskets. There are currently none so I'm not sure what I need. I can find lower door gaskets no problem. I see no kit for the three sides mounted on the body around each window. I also need the plastic dash and the hood crest and wreath.

The original wiring diagram for the radio would be helpful as well.

The car runs and drives wonderfully aside from being very loud from rattling panels and window glass.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Either Steele Rubber or Rubber The Right Way should make and have just about any gasket or seal that car needs.

For the interior pieces, you may want to contact Cadillac Heaven in North Carolina. https://cadillacheaven.com/

Next get a factory shop manual.

I have some dash parts.
Do you need the top piece, bottom piece or center piece?

I only need the centerpiece. My car came with the two wood strips through the center.

For the radio I too was thinking the factory service manual should help.  This being a factory car it should have the information you are looking for.  Its the cars that started out as a commercial chassis where the chassis manufacturer manuals are less useful for some systems.

I don't know how extensive the diagrams were in 69 but I do know a few years later they were getting fairly complex so they were printed on fold out pages to make them larger and easier to read. For an example the 73 manual has at least 2 double sided fold out diagrams.  Each side covers different models or systems.  I don't remember the exact coverage but one side would cover cars like the 60 and 75 series and the other Deville, Eldorado sort of thing.

Back in the day its possible mechanics ripped the pages out to make them easier to read.  With original manuals at this age they are just brittle and can easily be ripped out so especially if you are paying decent money for a copy try to be sure those pages are included.

Perhaps someone with a 69 manual can confirm or deny that it should have a or some fold outs so you can confirm with a seller that they are all there?
