I went to that plant several times 20+ years ago when they made the Saturn Vue.

About 15 years ago, twice we toured the GM Performance Build Center near Milford Michigan.

This facility assembled Vette and V-series engines. New Corvette & V-series buyers had the opportunity to assemble their own engine (with GM staff overview and guidance, of course) for a fee.

It was very impressive; the Team was proud of their work and 'signed' each engine.
