Giving Tuesday - - not sure how or when this started but heck might as well plug the Cadillac - LaSalle Club Museum & Research Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the history of our vehicles.

They surely can use any donations, no matter how small, to help continue their mission and cover maintenance costs of their wonderful museum building at the Gilmore Museum near Kalamazoo, MI.

In addition to cash donations, the CLC MRC is also set up to accept cars, literature, collectibles, stocks, securities, Legacy Gifts (name them in your Estate giving) and more.

Follow this link for information how to make a one-time or set up periodic contributions (monthly, quarterly, annual).  Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Sue, for bringing this up. And I will be obnoxious and bring up my pet project which was not received too well, as only a handful of members chose to make a monthly small contribution to the Museum.

On the sixteenth of November I was glancing at my expenditures on line, and noticed a debit of $xx.00 from my account. It was my monthly gift to the Museum. It was relatively small and I certainly didn't miss it, even though my income was cut in half when Gay died this April.

And while I was checking the Forum, I noticed several threads giving what I'd consider, quite valuable tips to new members in need. And who of us hasn't benefited from such tips during our tenure as members?

Isn't getting such assistance which, by and large, might save you $$$ in the long run a pretty nice thing? Nowadays, we treat a five dollar bill like we used to treat quarters and dimes. Couldn't you spare one of those bills each month to add to the income of the Museum?

You even only have to mess with setting the donation up once. After that, the CLCMRC will send you a monthly "thank you" reminding you that you do think enough of the CLC to give a little of your assets to help our Museum grow.

I know, I know, that everything in our hobby costs way more now. But if you're thirsty, you go to Mickey D's and buy a large drink and think nothing of it, even if you get one of the special Christmas pies they usually have as well.

Couldn't you just go to the fridge this time, and pull out a bottle of water, (or even get out ice cubes and get it from the sink.) And think, "Well, OK. They keep yammering about this, and maybe if I help a little bit, they'll keep quiet."

OK, I'll shut up. (And thank you if you do sit down at the computer and bring up your bank's app. No, thank you anyway, for being a member, and Happy Holidays.)
