The lifters finally arrived at the cam grinder shop on Monday (Jan 27), so I'm waiting for a call
on progress. Meanwhile I've pulled the heads and they are at a local machine shop getting
cleaned up. They'll check flatness and mill if needed. I sent the bare heads only and lapped all
of the valves before dropping them off. Progress !

Well the lifters came back from the cam grinders shop and they basically look brand new. Right now I'm reassembling the engine and will hopefully fire it up this coming weekend. I decided to replace the camshaft with an after market model which is only slightly beefier than that the stock one. We'll see what we get !

Well the motor is back together and she runs fine. After I doing a little steering and AC work, she'll back back on the road. The refurbished original lifters seem to be working well with the new cam.

Congratulations.   With the proper running-in, you should have many miles of beautiful motoring.
