Apple Hydraulics rebuilt the front and rear on my '41

They are in NY.

I second Apple Hydraulics. They've rebuilt lever action shocks for a few of our cars.

Very satisfied with the results.

The length and angle of the arm on '49 shocks determines the wheel alignment camber. Sometimes to speed things up Apple will suggest you exchange your shocks for a rebuilt pair they have in stock.  This is risky because the shock arms from different years (and make. Olds for example) can superficially look the same but have small differences which will make wheel alignment afterward difficult. So make sure you have Apple rebuild yours rather than exchange them, even though it may take longer to do. This once happened to me and caused lots of problems which took a while to solve.

Apple rebuilt the shocks on my '41 in 2018 and last year rebuilt the rear shock links. Turn around time was not bad. About 10 days on the links.

Apple seems to be one of the most consistently good  companies that I have worked with over the last 60 years.  They have done shocks for me on a '41, a '47, and two Pierces

Getting the shocks rebuilt is no big deal. However, Getting the front end realigned is a little tricky. You should find someone Who knows how to do work on these types of suppensions. The first two I tried said they could and wouldn't listen to what I had to say about how to make adjustments my 46 and just wasted my time and money. Also be sure your fuel tank is full and your trunk has everything in it that you'll normaly carry ie spare ,jack and so on. this will make a big difference your caster setting.
