I'm missing my original power antenna for a 1961 Series 62 Convertible, and the cost of a rebuilt original is not cheap.  Since it's not something people are going to see I'd like to find a quality after market option.  Anybody have experience with aftermarket antennas they can share?

I assume you are missing your antenna. Did you see the posts where I was "Rebuilding" my antenna.

I did not, I'll go find it.  If I had an original one. I'd definitely rebuild it.

You can check with Jason edge from the 63 and 64 cars he has parted. I would need to check if they are common with 61. But the brackets and masts he sells are the same.

I think 61-64 are common, but not 100% sure.

I like pictures to talk around.

This is the mounting hardware needed for the bottom of the antenna. Check to see if the parts are still on your fender.

That's what I call a rebuild!! It will last another 60 or so years thanks for posting the pictures!!!!

That antenna is probably cleaner today than the day it was new.  Great rebuild!

I'm going to send you the one out of my '76 to rebuild. It should outlast me. Nice!!

It goes up about a foot and then stops. If I pull it, it goes all the way up, then retracts just as it should.

I have both a Pioneer and a Tenna for the 59s. They both are working with no issues but the nylon mast string is shot. Who can replace that for me? I took them apart numerous times and reassembled them. Both would go up 2 feet and stop. This led me to believe the nylon is bad and needs replacing.
The pioneer is thicker and the Tenna is thinner.
