Just looking for some opinions on this. I was wondering if I should have a new one made or just paint this one? there are no holes, quite a bit of surface rust which is very stubborn even after sandblasting.

My opinion is that you leave it as is as long as it is not leaking.

Is this for looking at or driving?   Even if you find a shop that can do the job is the current material going to be as good and long lasting as the old stuff?

Aluminum for an exhaust system? It won't last a lot! Maybe you are thinking stainless steel, which the way to go.

Your probably right im no expert when it comes to the exhaust system. But I'll remember that when the time comes fir a new exhaust because that's gone completely rusted away. That's why I was going back and fourth on weather or not to replace the cross over. I may give sandblasting another try then paint it to protect it. Unless advised otherwise
