1961-1964 Convertible Tops: Do a Cadillac and an Impala share the same top?

I currently have a glass rear window in my '63 Eldorado. The top, which dates back to the 1980s, needs replacement. Finding a new top with a glass rear window has proven challenging.

Are the 1961-1964 GM C-body and B-body convertible tops interchangeable? For example, RockAuto lists the same ACME top for both the Impala and the Cadillac. Recently, OER introduced a convertible top with a glass rear window, and I am eager to purchase it if it is compatible. However, Jegs only includes the smaller B-body cars in its vehicle fitment guide.

If you are aware of a high-quality convertible top with a glass rear window that does not require unzipping before folding, for a 1961-1964 Cadillac, please let me know.

Since you are not getting any response ,I will add my two cents.
On eBay right now is a brochure for the LeMans solid fiberglass top for 61-62. It should be the same for 61-64. I found one at Hershey one year, but had no way to haul it home. Maybe I lucked out! In the fine print LeMans says that two models fit all GM cars. GM-612A CADILLAC,Olds 98, and Buick Electra ($435). GM-612B fits Chev,Pontiac ,Olds88 and some Buicks ($395).  That would be mean C-body and B-body were not the same.  The vendor claimed it fit all models.

If the fit for the windows is the same,a cloth top might be possible. The extra length of the bigger top would just need to be trimmed off for the smaller car.

Another two cents for the kitty.

Are you going to do the job yourself or have a shop do it?

A top end shop should be able to fabricate a top, polish and use your glass or have one cut, providing it's flat glass. Or maybe transfer your glass to a kit top. It will be very expensive if you do the former, just expensive if the latter. I had the top on my '67 DeVille custom made and it was spectacular. tight, no wind noise, no rattles, no water leaks, It operated flawlessly....and it stayed that way for years and for the owner after me.

Thank you for the replies.

I plan to do the job with a friend who has experience replacing many convertible tops. He'll be the expert, and I'll assist him as the helper. I already have new top pads and hold down cables.

Originally, the plan was to replace only the top (Acme C128) and freshen up the 45-year-old glass rear window part, which includes repairing the broken zipper with help from an upholsterer. Of course, the 45-year-old vinyl looks noticeably different compared to a brand-new top, but I'd like to keep the glass window. While an upholsterer can easily make a new rear window section for the top, removing and reinstalling the glass can be tricky.

Until I came across the OER tops, the only options I found for glass rear windows on 1961-64 models either required unzipping the rear window before lowering the top or featured a small custom-style rear window.
