So as far as i can see just about every clock from 74 to 78, the rotary design, has the problem with the original drive gear in the clock disintegrating.  Originally its a small brown gear on a flywheel powered by a small magnetic coil.  A really weird design.  But as far as i can see nobody makes these gears anymore, and i was hunting down clocks to find one, and i finally did a bit ago.  it broke in my hands when i touched it but i was able to take measurements and remake it.
I do sell them on ebay to make a little side money but i thought to post the model here for anyone who can make it themselves

It does require a resin 3d printer to make, as its very small, and takes a lot of adjustment in order to get it set right.. But it has got me 2 working clocks, and i know restoration places want to change 300 to 500 bucks to fix these clocks when all they really need is that gear.

Here is the model, directions on how to scale it and which to use is in the description

Wow! Pretty cool you were able to replicate the part and make them available to others.
Enjoy life - it has an expiration date.

thanks, yeah it was a nightmare trying to find one to measure, ended up finding it out of a 78 eldo in a junk yard, after i took the measurements i lost the gear so i just had to make a bunch of prototypes before i settled on that design
but beats paying 300 bucks

I remember the growly-growly sound the clock made on my 1978 SDV d'Elegance. And to tell you that your making the gear available to other members is one of the founding hallmarks of this Club. Thanks for your efforts.
