My window channel on the back of the wing window frame has lost all its felt and fuzz. And because of this it rattles. I see new channel available that appears to fit into the frame. Does the window need to be removed or can this be slid down into place? Also, do I have to remove the window if I put new anti-rattle rollers. I could not find anything on a search and would like to size up how big a project this will be.
Thanks for any input.

I suggest you contact Art Gardner, who I think worked on the wing window (quarter window?) frame on a convertible which is the same.  You can find him in the Georgia section of the CLC directory.
