This is the initial post of my 49 Sedanette project.  I have restored an 69 AMC AMX, to Mini's (60 & 62) and thought it was time for some Classic Detroit Iron.  Hopefully the picture will attach but if not I'll get it there in short order.

The 49 Caddy as I picked it up and after months of disassembly. I had the body alkaline dipped in Toledo and then off to e-primer in Elkhart. Now back in Buffalo to begin the body restoration / repair.

Congratulations on your new project. Are you going to restore it to original?

Trying to get as close to 1949 as possible.
Motor is about 90% complete now.
Frame is blasted, epoxy primed and urethane painted ready to start reassembly.
The main body is ready for the butt & cut process to get rid of the rot and weld in new as well as all fenders.

When I'm questioned how can I do a project this big?  My response is simply "Do you know how you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time !
