So I wanted to talk about the possibility of having door conduits reproduced for the 1961/62 front doors.

These are not currently produced. And I have heard people want to try to do it over the years.

Recently I tried taking down dimensions and seeing what I could do to get a CAD model.

Some things I noticed. The screw holes to the body are in a different layout between 61 and 62. So it would be better and easier to mold with no holes and cut later.

The conduits are handed mostly because an extra bit of material that extends the side flap into the flange. If this material is cut off,  I think this part could be universal RH to LH. You would just move one flap from being on inside to outside.

But with costs of an injection molding tool, it may not be worth it to try to make and sell them. There may not be enough customers. Once I like the CAD I might send it to Steele Rubber products. If I save them work in developing a CAD model it might make it worth it for them.

Or a C5 Corvette conduit works perfectly well.

3D printed a hard plastic model. Maybe some day I can make a mold to do a poured flexible version to test.

They fit. Now I need to decide what to use for a poured mold and rubber resin.
