I just installed new air shocks in the back of my 89 Seville ($500) and now the air pump doesnt kick on.  Rather than try having it repaired, thereby eliminating something else to go wrong again, cant I convert it to just have a nozzle somewhere that I can just add air when needed?

Thanks in advance for your always helpful advice!!!

Have a great day!

John, that is what most people did with the ALC (AUTOMATIC LEVEL CONTROL) on their Cadillacs.  Mine was so treated.  I still have all the parts, just the shocks were cut free and the nozzle put near the license plate in back, on a cross member.  I hope to repair or restore the ALC someday, but for now the air shocks work fine like that.
