These things go for around $250-$400 because most have been broken and discarded because they are difficult to weld, being pot metal.  There is a half one on eBay about to expire:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4537989707&sspagename=STRK3AMEWA3AIT TARGET=_blank>http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4537989707&sspagename=STRK3AMEWA3AIT
This is what one looks like on my SDV:  http://hometown.aol.com/psmker/myhomepage/photo.html TARGET=_blank>http://hometown.aol.com/psmker/myhomepage/photo.html

That is absurd.  Why would anyone pay anything for half a 59 horn ring?

Dave, having the bottom-half is better then not having any ring at all, and if you already have the top-half, a "good" welder of "pot" metal can make a complete ring of the two halves.
There is/are rings for that year that someone makes-up in "SS" that doesnt break so easely.
Hope this is an answer to your question/comment.
Good Luck, Jim
