Based on the descriptions referenced in Porters email, the 1975 and 1978 Grilles look similar.

1978 CADILLAC ELDORADO
-While waiting one more year for an all-new downsized body, Eldorado received no major change other than a revised crosshatch grille dominated by heavier horizontal bars.
1977 CADILLAC ELDORADO
-This years grille pattern featured more thin vertical bars than before and stood on a line with the headlamp tops.
1976 CADILLAC ELDORADO
-Though similar to the 1975 version, this years crosshatch grille was dominated by vertical bars. peaked forward at the center. It at so reached a bit higher than the quad rectangular headlamps.
